Higa Sake Brewery was founded in the 16th year of the Meiji era in Shuri, a castle town in the Ryukyu Kingdom.
In 1912, Masafumi's son Shogen took over the brewery as the second generation.
Masahiro named the product ``Masahiro,'' which is a transliteration of his own name.
In 1962, the factory was moved to Ishimine in Shuri in order to modernize the equipment.
Time passed, and in 1971, the fourth generation, Masakuni Higa, took over the brewery.
In 1991, we completed the Nishizaki Factory in Itoman City to commemorate our 100th anniversary, and moved the manufacturing location to Itoman City.
