| Tamdhu Distillery was founded in 1897. Since our establishment, we have procured high-quality sherry casks from Spain and aged 100% in sherry casks.While modernizing our facilities and increasing our production capacity, we have increased our production volume to take advantage of the whiskey boom of the 1970s. Unfortunately, the distillery closed in 2010. In 2012, the current owner, Ian MacLeod, acquired the distillery and resumed production to create the best whisky, continuing the same policy and legacy from Tamdhu Distillery's founding. Of course, we maintain our tradition of aging 100% in high-quality sherry casks, and now, over 100 years later, we are still releasing the best Speyside malt using the same method. This 18-year aging is a limited edition small batch released in 2022, which marks the 125th anniversary of the distillery's founding. The color is deep amber, the aroma is milk chocolate, nutty, raisin, plum, very beautiful sherry cask, the body is rich and elegant, cafe au lait, rum raisin, dried apricot, the finish is spicy with cinnamon powder and cloves. continues comfortably.
