Teeling Whiskey is an independent bottler based in Dublin, Ireland. In an effort to restore Irish independence to the Irish whiskey industry, Jack Teeling, then CEO of Cooley, left Cooley to produce handcrafted and small-batch Irish whisky. Established in 2012. We concluded a barrel supply contract with an Irish distillery and succeeded in securing barrels for a long period of time. However, with future plans in mind, construction of a distillery began, and it finally opened officially in September 2015. The Teeling family already owned a whiskey distillery in the 1700s, when whiskey production was booming in Dublin, but it has opened for the first time in about 125 years after all the distilleries in the city closed. This is the new Teeling Distillery. ``Black Pitts'' is a new standard product released following the first standard product ``Single Pot Still'' manufactured at Teeling Distillery. Black Pitts is the name of the area near Teeling Distillery, where a large malt mill existed at the time when the whiskey industry was flourishing in Dublin. A peated single malt made from 100% germinated malt, with a phenol level of approximately 55 ppm, distilled three times, aged in bourbon barrels and Sauternes wine barrels, blended from each barrel and bottled at 46%. Please enjoy the smoky taste that makes you feel that this is an Irish whisky, different from Scotch Islay malt. |
