Green Spot is a private brand Irish whiskey that is known to be difficult to obtain due to its limited annual production.
The name "spot" comes from the custom of applying paint to the barrels depending on the age of the barrel, and it is characterized by the use of unprocessed sake aged in Malaga barrels, which are the same ones used to mature Malaga wine.
It has an Irish fruity, easy-drinking, light and mellow taste, but Green Spot is a whiskey that is so easy to drink that even people who don't like whiskey can drink it straight.
The second installment of the "Wine Geese Series".
The original sake is aged in traditional sherry and bourbon barrels and then finished for 12 months in Zinfandel wine barrels* at Chateau Montelena in Napa Valley, California.
Green Spot malt, which originally had a fruity taste, was filled with deeper fruit and spice flavors in the finish.
