This bourbon was created in 1874 by George Garvin Brown of Louisville, Kentucky, and was the first to put a label on the bottle to guarantee the contents, solidifying the brand's image.
Based on the Bottled-in-Bond Act enacted in 1897.
Only wine from a single distillery and year must be aged for at least 4 years and bottled at 100 proof (50% alcohol).
