British farmers have been using an insecticide commonly known as sheep dip to skin sheep before shearing.

This liquid removes parasites from sheep and protects their wool, and is common among West Country farmers.

As farmers began cultivating grain and brewing their own whiskey, they began to cleverly hide it in barrels labeled "SD" (abbreviation for Sheep Dip) to avoid paying taxes on the whiskey. Ta.

Eventually, even farmer wholesalers began selling this whiskey under the name "Sheep Dip."

However, the scheme was eventually exposed by the British government as not all the farmers who bought the whiskey had flocks of sheep.

Sheep Dip Malt Whiskey is a vat of 16 different single malt whiskies, sourced from the Lowland, Highland, Speyside and Islay regions of Scotland.
