In the 19th century, brothers John and James Chivas, at 13 King Street in Aberdeen, thought outside the box and imported spirits and spices from all over the world.
Inspired by the Chivas brothers, the "Chivas Regal Extra 13 Years" series was born.
"Chivas Regal Extra 13 Year Old American Rye Cask" was produced to pay homage to the history of Chivas Regal, which first landed in the United States in 1909 and took New York by storm.
Some of this whiskey is finished in American rye casks (barrels in which rye whiskey is aged), giving it a long, mellow taste.
