This is a canned snack of kamaboko, which is a specialty of Maizuru, Kyoto by the Sea, and is pickled in high-quality Taihaku sesame oil for an unprecedented taste.
The red and white fish-shaped kamaboko can be used as a snack or as an ingredient in stir-fries with oil.
It also goes well with wine and sake.
