Aylsabay Distillery is located in the Lowlands of Scotland!
The town of Ayr is the birthplace of Scotland's national poet, Mr. Robert Burns, and is famous for having many places connected to him.
Also on the grounds of the distillery is the Girvan Distillery, which produces grain whisky, and has been in operation since 1963.
By the way, the name Ailsa Bay comes from ``Ailsa Craig Island'' off the coast of Girvan!
■Micromaturation
It is the only Scotch whiskey to undergo micromaturation, with intensive rapid maturation in small bourbon barrels, followed by several years of aging in American oak virgin, first-fill and refill casks.
■Quantification of taste
The peat and sweetness are measured and quantified to create the perfect balance for the Master Blender.
